About the Journal

Gastroenterology Nexus (GN) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing research in gastrointestinal pathophysiology, digestive disorders, and their multidisciplinary applications. Published semi-annually online by Cultech Publishing Sdn. Bhd., the journal bridges fundamental discoveries with clinical innovations to address diagnostic, therapeutic, and public health challenges in gastroenterology.

Aim and Scope
GN focuses on cutting-edge research in gut-brain interactions, microbiome science, precision endoscopy, and digestive oncology. The aim and scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to, the following areas:

  • Molecular mechanisms of GI diseases (IBD, IBS, celiac, GI cancers)
  • Personalized diagnostics and digital health technologies for digestive care
  • Integrative therapies in gastroenterology (e.g., acupuncture, mind-body medicine)
  • Microbiome dynamics, probiotics, and microbial therapies
  • Nutritional gastroenterology and metabolic gut disorders

The journal serves as a platform for interdisciplinary collaboration, connecting basic scientists, clinicians, and industry partners to tackle global challenges in cancer prevention, personalized GI care, health equity, and gut health sustainability.

Open Access:  This journal operates under a "gold" Open Access model,  providing free access to all readers. The Article Processing Charges (APC) for all article types (research article, review, et al.) is $0, and the content will be published under a CC BY 4.0 license. To encourage submissions and support the research community, GN currently levies no APC (0 APC). For specific APC policies, please refer to the  Open Access policy section.

Processing Cycle: The manuscript processing cycle is approximately 12 weeks from submission to acceptance.

Recognition of Reviewers: Reviewers who provide timely, thorough peer-review reports receive vouchers entitling them to a discount on the APC of their next publication in GN, in appreciation of the work done.
